Questions & Answers

How do I complete the enrollment process?
To complete enrollment, families must pay a security deposit of $100, and two weeks tuition fee before the child’s start date. Two weeks tuition fee will cover for the first and last week of the child’s last care with us. Remember, a 2-3 weeks of withdrawal should be notified to provider OR security deposit will not be refunded.
What are the drop-off and pick-up times?
Children should be dropped off by 6:30 AM or no later than 10:30 AM and picked up by 5:30 PM. If a doctor’s visit causes a delay beyond 10:30 AM, please inform the provider in advance. Otherwise, children must arrive having already eaten. Note that a late drop-off does not allow for a later pick-up time.
What COVID-19 safety measures are in place?
Parents must accompany their children during temperature checks. Everyone must wear masks at all times. We screen children for COVID-19 exposure and symptoms daily during drop-off. Frequent handwashing is encouraged, and students aged 2 and older must wear masks, per CDC guidelines. Surfaces, toys, and tables are sanitized regularly, with high-touch areas cleaned every two hours. These precautions ensure a safe environment for all.
Can I hold a spot for my child?
Yes, you can reserve a spot by paying a non-refundable registration fee ($175 for one child and $275 for multiple children). Once the spot becomes available, this fee will be applied to tuition.
What if my child misses the kindergarten enrollment cut-off?
Children who miss the cut-off date will join the older 4’s classroom, engaging in activities that develop their reading, writing, and math skills while exploring their interests.
Are there penalties for late pick-ups?
Yes, late pick-ups incur a fee of $25 per child for the first 30 minutes (between 5:31-6pm), with an additional $2 charge for every minute after that.
What are your closure days?
Please refer to the attached schedule for specific closure dates. We also align with the PG County public school system for holidays and other closures.
How do you communicate with families?
We prioritize open communication and use the Brightwheel app to send updates, newsletters, reminders, and emails. We also connect with families during drop-off and pick-up times and reach out via phone to check in or address concerns. Your child’s care and development are always our priority.
What safety protocols do you have in place?
Our facility is equipped with cameras in all areas, including the playground, monitored by our administrative team. Due to COVID-19, families are not permitted inside during school hours. However, in-person tours are available after hours or when the facility is unoccupied.
What items should families provide?
Parents are responsible for supplying diapers, wipes, crib sheets, blankets, and a change of clothes, all labeled with the child’s name. Sheets and blankets are sent home weekly (Friday) or daily upon request for cleaning. Extra clothes will remain in the cubby for emergencies.
Can children bring their own meals?
No, as our facility is nut-free and provides freshly prepared meals, including breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. This policy ensures fairness and safety for all children. If your child requires special accommodations, please inform us in advance. Thank you for your understanding.
